Abstract: Engagements that bring multiple coaches together can result in magical moments or disaster encounters. In this talk, participants will learn about pair coaching including the importance of common purpose and they will explore the boundaries of creating an environment for pair coaching success.
Pairing together, coaches who share a common purpose and desire to work together, can propel transformations forward. Leaning on each other's experiences and strengths, those being coached feel the benefits of working with a strong, synchronized team.
This session is presented as a case study of how two coaches from different cultures, different companies, and different backgrounds have created a culture of collaboration and dedication to seeing the success of their clients transform. Marcelo is from Brazil, works at CA Technologies, and is currently located in Bangkok. Kerri is from the US, works at Booz Allen Hamilton, and is currently located in Houston. One has the software engineering background and the other project management. They are currently coaching together to support a Fortune 50 company through its IT Transformation.
By the end of the session, the participants will recognize that pair coaching should not be forced upon people especially if relationship issues exist. Instead, they will see that when we open ourselves to partner with someone else, letting go of ego or status, we strengthen our coaching stances. When we demonstrate positive team behaviors such as trust, respect and joy, our customers have a model they can look to on how they can move their teams forward towards high performance.
Learning Outcomes: - By the end of the session, the participants will be able to identify pair coaching behaviors that result in successful relationships
