Abstract: Technical governance aims to guide and control technical decisions at an organization. Most companies have a form of technical governance in place.
In recent years, speed of innovation and execution has become critical for companies, as it allows them to compete in the world of Continuous Disruption. Traditional approaches to technical governance can inhibit the speed of innovation and the speed of execution. A different approach is needed.
This presentation will introduce a simple, yet powerful technical governance model that allows for high speed through decentralized execution while minimizing waste and maintaining alignment between teams. The model consists of three key elements: Values (heuristics), Standards, and Freedoms. The presentation will explain how this model can be established and executed. Real world examples will be used.
Attendees will leave the presentation ready to adopt this technical governance model in their environment to enable their companies to succeed in the world of Continuous Disruption.
