Abstract: Have you ever been leading a session and looked around the room to find your audience disengaged? Have you ever crafted a beautiful presentation, but found yourself scrambling to make people understand your message? Have you ever wondered why your teams and peers can’t seem to apply the information you give them? Would you like to change that?
Agile Coaches are often tasked with changing the way teams work, think, or behave. Driving these changes usually requires some type of knowledge sharing from the coach to the team. However, creating an effective and engaging learning experience is very different from coaching a team. This course will give you an understanding of how adults learn and provide a structured approach to crafting a learning experience that gets people excited, keeps the room engaged, and drives the behavior change we need for agile transformation.
Learning Outcomes: - By the end of this session, attendees should be able to:
- Define the characteristics of adult learners
- Motivate adult learners, and engage an adult audience in a learning session
- Explain the desired outcome and goal of a learning session
- Create structured, effective, learning sessions for any adult learner
- Effectively gather feedback on their learning sessions
