Abstract: Do you ask for forgiveness or permission before you do something? Do you follow the pirates code, and view it more as a set of guidelines rather than steadfast rules? If you answered “yeah, permission is for wimps! I’m a rebel who plays by his own rules, but I don’t even follow my own rules!” then this might be for you.
Mitch Lacey has been an agile practitioner for over ten years. With a background in large backend infrastructure systems and big-type companies (Microsoft), you’ll find Mitch is one who will often bend the rules to achieve goals, rather than stand by and watch things crash as burn because that’s what “the process” says to do - however, he always knows both the positive and negative impact of any decisions made. Translation – you’ll get a lot of no-BS answers to your questions in this session – answers that will make you think and contemplate how to move the ball forward at your company.
Mitch’s passions include old American cars and trucks, software, listening and learning from good people who are open to new ideas and sharing their own, sous vide, baking, family and construction. If you have questions on how to get your kids going on accountability, he’ll have an answer. If you want to know how to run agile in a construction project, he’s got experience with that too. If you want a good basic chocolate chip cookie recipe, bring yours and you’ll swap great idea!
